Celebrating the life of Susan Purtle Borresen
Thank you for signing Susan Purtle Borresen's Guestbook
My deep condolences go to the Purtle/Borresen family on the loss of your precious loved one. Losing a loved one is never easy. The emotional pain & emptiness is so real. But, I would like to share what helped us when our daughter fell asleep in death and recently my beloved husband of 50 years.
It was indeed the gift that the Most High God gave to each & everyone of us. And that is His written Word the Bible. In it contains many many words of comfort. I would like to share what has and is helping me. Please, notice God's son Jesus comforting view of death. At John 11:11-14 it brings out that Jesus viewed death as one sleeping. And not that one is here or there. I wondered will I see my loved ones again? And from the Scriptures the answer is "yes."
Please, notice these few Scriptures: Isaiah 33:24(No more sickness) Revelation 21:4(No more pain, sorrow or death) John 5:28, 29(the Resurrection hope). And, it says where at Psalm 37:11 & Psalm 37:29 brings out how long that will last. As you ponder over these few Scriptures may it bring you some comfort knowing the Most High God will fulfill His promises(Psalm 83:18 & Titus 1:2).
Sent in deep sympathy,
Please, feel free to contact me or visit jw.org for more comforting words from God's gift to you.

I just read about the recent death of Susan and I know David, Rebecca and the Borresen, Purtle family and loved ones have saddened hearts today. So I wanted to share beautiful scripture where our heavenly Father, Jehovah, (Psalm 83:18), promises us that He is going to do away with man's greatest enemy, death. Rev. 21: 4; "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises, including the resurrection. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 6:40, John 11:23-25, Acts 24:15) Also, Titus 1: 2 tells us this promise of a resurrection: "is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago." Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it." For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on Him and He will sustain you in your time of grief. Psalm 34:18 my email address is: email@example.com
I pray it may bring you some comfort to please watch this beautiful video (Song 144)entitled "Keep Your Eyes on the Prize" https://tv.jw.org/#en/video/VODChildren/pub-pksn_24_VIDEO

Hello Borresen Family,lm a neighbor living in Fayetteville.
Having heard of your most recent loss, I want to leave you a brief post.I too well know, the grief of losing love ones and that at times like these, it is encouraging just to know that others are thinking about us. Something that has really helped me to cope with such losses,is the wonderful promise of Christ Jesus, recorded for our comfort at John 5 : 28,29. I hope, that when you are feeling up to it, that you are going to look up these powerful Scriptures, in your copy of The Bible. Also, I hope that this brief note finds The Family feeling as good as can be expected Today.

Susan was a ray of sunshine with a contagious smile. In the 14 years of knowing and working with Susan, I have never heard her raise her voice and I never heard her complain. She smiled coming into to work and smiled as she was leaving. She has been a blessing to many including myself. She will be greatly missed.
