Obituary

Jacob Kimball McGee, 24, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 4, 2018. He was born on February, 25, 1993 in Fayetteville, NC, where he lived until joining the US Army.

Jacob graduated from Cape Fear High School in 2011. He worked at Carlie C’s in Cedar Creek during his high school years. He joined the US Army in August, 2011. After graduating basic training and Airborne School in Ft. Benning, Georgia, Jacob was station at Ft. Hood, Texas. He also served in Vicenza, Italy and Ft. Bliss, Texas, and served until January, 2017.

Jacob was preceded in death by his twin brother Colin McGee, step-mother, Carol McGee, grandfather, Douglas McGee and great grandparents Russell and Louise Haddock.

Jacob was a loving husband, father, son, brother and devoted friend. He was known for his sense of humor and laughter. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He will be painfully missed by his family and all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cypress, a daughter, Iris and son, Tanner; his mother, Gina Evans and husband John; father, Rodney Kyle McGee ; sisters Kelsey Hall and husband Heath, Allison Gibson and Hannah Gibson; brothers Noah McGee and John Olson; grandparents Ted and Wanda Griffin, grandmother Sherylle McGee, and great grandmother, Sharon Opperman.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home on Ramsey Street. The family will receive friends before the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Services at 12:00 p.m.
