Mrs. Elsie Mae Wortham Wilkes, 80, of Hope Mills, formerly of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 3 pm in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
Elsie was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Wilkes.
She is survived by her daughters, Dr. Karen D. Barefoot and husband Seavy of Cookeville, TN and Charla M. Trogdon and husband Michael of Fayetteville; 5 grandchildren, Brian Barefoot, Michael Barefoot, Matthew Barefoot, Melissa Boisvert and Christy Burk; and 7 great-grandchildren, Zoey Barefoot, Haley Barefoot, Carson Boisvert, Lucas Boisvert, Madison Boisvert, Bailey Brown Burk and Liam Burk.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. May the God of all comfort be with you during this time of grief. The death of a loved one is never easy but may you find comfort from the scripture found at Acts24:15. It reassures us that soon we will be reunited with our loved ones again. May God continue to strengthen you during your hardship.
