Micah cane into my life at a time when I thought that none would understand what I was going through. Without a thought for himself he reached out and helped me. Although there was a generational gap music beiges that divide and not a week goes by without a song or melody reminds me of him and comforts me when I’m having a bad day.

One of the most beautiful memories that mom and I talked about recently was Micah and his random guitar playing and song writing moments. Specifically, sitting in the tiny hallway outside of his bedroom at night playing the guitar and just singing lyrics he was coming up with on the spot about how weird it was for people to be in the same house texting each other. She said she happened to hear him from Josiah’s room (obviously during the time that Josiah lovingly relinquished it to mom and me when we were with y’all) and she couldn’t help but laugh at what he was singing and had to go ask him what it was. He was just making it up. As we relived that small glimpse of a story, I could just imagine Micah’s dimple pecked cheeks and chin grinning at her and just continuing to play. Then we started talking about Jacob and Micah’s shower wars and how they took turns throwing ice water, flour, and whatever else on the other one if they caught them taking a shower. Micah truly was a blessing and a joy to any family but our family, especially. He always exhibited the most love and tolerance for others around him and never let anyone feel uncomfortable or unaccepted. Words will never do justice the love we hold in our heart for Micah nor the pain of the void that is left. We love you guys so much and our hearts hurt so much for all of you right now.
