Betty J. Jennings, 88, of Fayetteville, died on January, 25, 2018. Betty left this earth surrounded by those that loved her and that she so dearly loved. Betty grew up in Rocky Mount, NC sadly losing her family at a very young age. She was fortunate to be raised by her Aunt and Uncle, Mamie and Conway Sykes in a happy and loving home. As a young woman Betty discovered her passion and love for babies. With this strong desire she attended the Rocky Mount Sanitarium School of Nursing. Betty spent her nursing career as an RN caring for and loving newborn babies and their mothers.

Betty married Jack M. Jennings in Nash County in 1948. Throughout their marriage and Jack’s long career in the US Army Special Forces Betty held down the home front.
